Why should I use Formally Suited?
We have been established since 2012 and work within Essex and surrounding counties offering excellent quality Wedding Suit Packages, Business Suits and Tuxedo's with all Accessories required from Top Hats all the way down to your Shoes. Items can be purchased from the website or directly with customer services.
Our items are the best on the market and we have not cut any corners on quality and style.
We will do our best to find you exactly what you are looking for. If we do not have it in stock, we will try out upmost to get what you need.
What does your Wedding Suit Package Include?
Our aim is to make you the best dressed male at your wedding. We take all the pressure away and do all the work for you, all you need to do is arrange your consultation, order your preferred suit and pay our extremely reasonable costs.
We offer the complete personal touch to all our Essex and surrounding counties based customers that you do not get from any shop. We come to your house. We will visit for an initial consultation with the suits and ensure you are completely happy with your suit order. Once the decision has been made for us to be your supplier, we will then return for a fitting with the groom and all his men. We then return to deliver all the suits and accessories One-two weeks before your wedding (package dependent). Any changes or alterations are arranged and delivered in sufficient time for your big day. Our last visit is to collect the items from you.
For all our customers outside of Essex, please place your order via our website or contact our Customer Services Team and we will deliver your suit orders 14 days before your wedding to allow sufficient time for any changes to be made with the collection 2-3 days after your big day.
Are the suits available immediately?
Formally Suited are a Third Party Supplier of goods and services and all our stock is from a UK based company. We can only supply "Subject to Availability". Some items may require adjusting but we do our upmost to ensure everything is perfect for your Big Day.

How can I place an order?
With regard to the suit packages, please place your order on the suit page by adding in your sizes and preferences on items.
We have many accessories available to hire or purchase for both men and boys. These accessories will finish off any look you might want to have! Again, make your choices and add them to the basket.
Once you are happy with your choices, go to the Basket and follow the checkout instructions.
How much does delivery & collection cost?

For all orders placed delivery and collection will be FREE. If a postage cost has been applied through the website we will refund the postage cost when delivering the suits. Local delivery/collections can be arranged with a convenient time and day suitable for both parties. Or, please contact Customer Services to organise.
For wedding suit hire, we aim to deliver the suits 2 weeks before the wedding and for Tuxedo's we aim to deliver 5 days before your event.
We will collect the suits 2/3 days after the event.
Any other items will be delivered between 5-7 days after the order has been placed. The items will be delivered 1st class and we are bound by Royal Mail who state delivery could take up to 30 days on 1st class postage.
Carriage charges are nationwise and per address. Please advise if the delivery/collection addresses are different from the billing address.
For delivery/collection we use well respected courier companies. A signature may not be necessary and if a safe place is available, please state at the payment page. Our collection/delivery service nationwide is always between 9.00am and 5.30pm. However, some collections/deliveries may be delayed due to traffic.
Please advise our Customer Services Team if you will not be available on the day of collection and whether any additional collection details will be necessary (ie, next door neighbour/garage etc).
Can FREE consultations be arranged for hire packages in Essex and surrounding counties?
Yes, we offer a FREE consultation service for Weddings within the Essex area or a Consultation and Fitting double appointment within surrounding counties. With regard to the Tuxedo's, we will offer a Consultation if 5 or more suits are required.
How does a Groom qualify for a FREE Suit Hire Package?
A suit package will be made available for the Groom if an order of 5 or more adult suits are placed.
How do I change or cancel an order?
Making changes to an order.
If you are just changing sizes, please contact us 7 days before your delivery date to check availability. Any changes required due to the customer ordering the wrong size will incur at £6 per item charge.
If you wish to add to your order, please contact us 7 days before your delivery date in order for us to make the necessary changes to your order and to guarantee payment has been processed.
If you have hired items and have now decided to buy them before your delivery date, please contact our Customer Services Team for the changes to be made.
If you have hired items and now wish to buy them before the collection date, please contact our Customer Services Team to make the additional payment and to ensure that additional costs are not incurred by you for the non-return of items.
Cancel an order.
Cancellations must be made initially by telephone, where a cancellation reference will be given.
To ensure that the cancellation is within the alloted time frame (please refer to our Cancellation details within Terms & Conditions) and stopping any discrepancies arising.
Cancellations made 6 weeks before the wedding qualify for a full refund,
Between 30 and 42 days qualify for a 75% refund,
Between 14 and 29 days qualify for a 50% refund, and
Less than 14 days until the delivery date will not qualify for a refund at all.
When is the best time to order?
We often reach full capacity, after which we turn away orders to ensure the smooth-running of our service. Consequently, we recommend that as soon as someone has decided to use us for their formal wear, they should not delay in putting their order through or booking their consultation.
Do you deliver to different parts of the country?
Yes, we deliver and collect anywhere on the British mainland as standard.
What sizes do you need?
We only require 4 sizes to provide an outfit. These are the common sizes that men will be aware of: chest, waist, inside leg and collar.
What about extended hire?
We offer extended hire at £15 per week (£2.50 per day) for the suits and additional hire for accessories at £1 per day. We will need to be informed of the extension 14 days before the hire date.
When do I pay for my suits?
When an order is placed online payment can be made via paypal.
We can also take payment over the phone for any items ordered with any Credit/Debit card. For all Credit Card payments a 2% surcharge will apply.
Do you accept deposits?
Yes we will require a £100 non refundable deposit to secure a booking for Wedding Suits only. For a double appointment we will require £300 which includes the £100 deposit. This figure will be included within the final cost of your suit hire.
Do you offer a repayment plan?
Yes we offer a repayment plan for weddings only. This will be the final cost spread out over a longer period of time. This takes the pressure off of needing to make full payment in one go and the repayment plan can be agreed between all parties. A 2% charge will be applied.
When is payment required for Wedding Suit Hire?
50% will be required at the Fitting with the final payment due six weeks before the wedding day. A reminder can be sent out upon request. If full payment is not received, Formally Suited are entitled to cancel the order and refund the money already deposited, less £100 non-refundable deposit. If the customer is unable to make this payment, it is the responsiblility of the customer to inform Formally Suited no later than 8 weeks before the wedding date to make further arrangements. However it is at Formally Suited's discretion whether this request is agreed.
How do I change an order after delivery?
If after trying on your items you find that an alternative size is preferred, all you need to do is send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and an alternative item will be sent. An additional cost may be incurred for postage/delivery if the change is due to the customers preference and not due to Formally Suited.
For local, if necessary, we can get the replacement to you the same day or next day if the item is available.
Please do not open the shirt if you know the size is not be suitable. Please contact us for a larger/smaller size and return the original shirt in it’s original packaging for us to collect.
A £5 per delivery will be made for these extra items to cover delivery charges, nationwide if the customer is at fault. If Formally Suited send out an item which is not correct, Formally Suited will pay the postage costs.
The delivery charge locally only requires an additional fee of £5 to cover fuel costs and these will be met upon delivery of the item(s).
What material are the accessory sets made from?
All accessory sets are made from the finest satin and create a perfect look.
If I buy an item is it brand new or has it been hired out?
All items stated as new are new and unused.
All items stated as used or clearance stock are re-sale stock and may show some sign of wear however, we attempt to only send out items which are excellent.
Please check all details on the item.
What should I do if my items do not arrive?
Should your items not arrive within 10 days from the date of purchase, please report the delay to our Customer Services Team. If contact has not been made within this time we will not investigate the delay and no refund will be offered.
Royal Mail, My Hermes and iPost are the carriers for all our items. They work within a 30 day delivery programme. If items are not delivered within that time frame only at this point we are able to investigate the delay or offer a refund.
If the carrier is My Hermes or iPost an email will be sent to you with delivery and tracking details.

We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our site.

- Details of transactions you carry out through our site and of the fulfilment of your orders.

We use information held about you in the following ways:

If you are an existing customer, we will only contact you by electronic means (e-mail or SMS) with information about goods and services similar to those which were the subject of a previous. sale to you.
If you are a new customer, and where we permit selected third parties to use your data, we (or they) will only contact you by electronic means if you have consented to this.
Other than data we need to retain for legal purposes such as transaction history, we will only keep your data on file for maximum of three months. This includes any emails sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
All information you provide to us is stored on our secure server. Any payment transactions will be encrypted and made through a third party payment platform where you will use your own password which enables you to access and made and receive payments, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
SHARING YOUR DATA
Formally Suited will share your data with third party data processors that are required in order for our business to function. These data processors include but are not restricted to:
- Logistics Partners- our network of partners that enable us to fulfil your delivery and returns processes
- Any legal regulators or law enforcement agencies that may require us to share information with them for business purposes
- Email Service Providers- such as Microsoft Livemail
- Social Media Platforms- including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest
Please note that selected third parties that require doing so may send transactional SMS messages in order to update you on the delivery of your item.
DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION
We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 736 of the UK Companies Act 1985.
We may disclose your personal information to third parties:
- In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
- If Formally Suited or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by Formally Suited about its customers will be one of the transferred assets.
OUR POLICY ON CHILDREN’S DATA
Children under 13 are not permitted to purchase from our sites due to EEA laws regarding the age at which you can provide consent to data processing. All communication and orders are made only with an adult or person aged 18 years or above. No personal details will be supplied or kept for a child unless required within a hire purchase agreement and only when placed by an adult and no data shall be disclosed to any third parties for such purposes.
HOW YOU CONTROL YOUR DATA
You will only be contacted if you have opted in by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data and will specify if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third parties for such purposes.
We want you to have control over your information and so we commit to giving you the ability to do the following:
- Access, amend, verify or withdraw any information held about you. You can also request a copy of the data by contacting email@example.com.
- Opt out of/ unsubscribe from marketing communications. This can be done within any marketing email sent to you or by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Exercise your right to be forgotten if you no longer wish for us to store any of your personal details. Should you wish to exercise your right to be forgotten, you must contact email@example.com stating this and all applicable data will be deleted from our systems. Some data may not be able to be deleted for legal reasons such as transactional history.
- Our site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.
LEGITIMATE INTEREST STATEMENT
The contacting of customers and relevant parties, will only be exercised under what Formally Suited, and the brands within it, deem the requirement of the contact, and use of the customer’s data as a legitimate interest in the reason for contact.
Formally Suited and it’s brands (Dobell, MyTuxedo, Formal Tailor, Colin Ross) shall only contact a person who we believe has a legitimate interest in the communication. This will in all cases be because the customer has previously purchased a product from Formally Suited, has indicated an interest in the products provided by the brands, or may have a professional interest in the company and the services it provides.
